Resetting the System
9.2 Resetting the System
Thereare threetypesof resetavailableforthedisplay:
• FactoryReset:Thisresetsallvaluesbacktotheiroriginalfactorysettings.
CAUTION:
ThefactoryresetclearstheMarksdatabaseandtheWaypointsand
Routesdatabases.
• Power-OnReset:When you turnthe displayoffandonagain,thescreen
revertsto the chartorradarpicture withall windowscleared.
• PictureReset:Press and hold the DISPLAY key for two secondsto return
thescreentothefull-screen pictureof the topwindow withallwindows
cleared.
Atpower-on, the last-usedvaluesare retainedfor all theoptions, exceptfor
thoselistedin the followingtable which arereset to thefactorydefaulteach
time.
➤ Toperforma factoryreset:
1. PressMENU.
2. Pressthe SYSTEM SET UP softkey to displaytheSystem Set Up page (see
Section 7.3for details).
3. Pressand hold MENU for5 seconds.
A countdowntimeris displayed.If you release theMENU keybeforethe
timerreaches zero,the resetisnot performed.
Whenthe reset requesthas been accepted,thesystemrestarts.
The factory default settings are listed in Section 7.3
