Placing a Waypoint
ThescenarioPlaceand Gotoa Waypointon page 2-26providesa simple
exampleof how to placea waypoint.
➤ To accessthe placewaypointsoft keys,pressMARKS:
➤ To placea waypoint at thecursorpositionorat the vesselposition:
1. Presseither thePLACE WPT AT CURSOR orthePLACE WPT AT VESSEL soft
key. The waypointis added to the waypointlistand taggedusingthenext
available number.
Thewaypointsoftkeysaredisplayeduntilyoumovethecursorawayfrom
thewaypoint or pressCLEAR.
Youcanusethe EDIT WAYPOINT softkey toname the waypoint as
describedinEditingWaypointsbelow.
2. PressCLEAR or ENTER to removethe placewaypointsoft keys.
➤ To placea waypoint as latitude/longitude usingthe Waypoint List:
1. PressMA RKS,followedbytheWAYPOINT LIST softkey.TheWaypointList
andassociatedsoft keysaredisplayed.
2. Pressthe MAKE NEW WAYPOINT softkeyfollowedbythe LAT/LONG soft
key;theWPT POSITION (LAT/LONG) screenisdisplayed,withit’sassociated
softkeys. The waypointis placedatthecurrentvesselposition,or if not
available, the cursorposition.
