Finding nearby features and services
To obtain information for the nearest objects:
1. Move the cursor to the required position on the chart.
2. Press OK. If the cursor is:
• Over a cartographic object, its details are displayed in a pop-up.
• Over an area of water or land not containing a cartographic object, the chart
source data is displayed.
3. Press FIND NEAREST, to display the list of categories available for this function:
•Waypoint.
• Ports.
• Port Services.
•Tidal Stations.
• Current Stations.
•Wrecks.
• Obstructions.
4. Use the trackpad to select the required category and press FIND. The sixteen near-
est to the cursor in the selected category are displayed.
5. You can now use the soft keys and trackpad to:
• display detailed data for any of the listed objects. For ports, you can select a spe-
cific service and for a selected port service you can find the nearest ports.
• Show the selected item on the chart.
• GOTO the selected waypoint
• View tidal/current data for the selected tidal/current station.
Displaying details of tides
You can display details of tides by selecting the appropriate tidal diamond
with the cursor or via the FIND NEAREST function.
1. Place the cursor over the tide diamond symbol.
2. Press OK. The OBJECT INFO screen is displayed.
3. Press TIDAL DATA, to display the tidal curve:
